HEALTH & SANITATION MEASURES

We comply with all state and local mandates related to COVID-19, including but not limited to reduced capacity, dining restrictions, and face coverings (where applicable). These restrictions are the most up-to-date and take precedence over the industry-specific guidelines if there are points of contradiction.

Huge open spaces

The sheer size of shopping centers – equivalent to multiple football fields in most cases – naturally allows for social distancing. Increased safety measures are indicated on signs and stickers throughout the mall to identify separate entry and exit doors, limit gathering, and encourage guests to remain at least 6 feet apart.

Hospital-quality air

We’ve installed CDC-recommended, hospital-quality MERV 13 air filters that capture airborne viruses in all of our indoor common areas. Plus, indoor areas have high ceilings that provide more space for air particles to move around and thin out (similar to outdoors).

CDC-level cleaning

Intense and frequent cleanings of high-touch surfaces such as restrooms, handrails, directories, trash bins, and charging stations are done before and during operating hours with CDC-recommended products. Guests also have access to touchless doors and hand sanitizer throughout the center.

Face coverings

Face coverings are available from most security officers throughout the mall, while supplies last. Studies conducted by the CDC have indicated that face coverings are successful in blocking over 80% of fine respiratory droplets and particles.

Controlled capacity

We monitor the number of people at the mall in real-time. Pursuant to local mandate, signs may be posted to notify shoppers when we’re at capacity, and signage throughout the center will indicate capacity limits and dining area limitations.
